Alison Andrews

Alison Andrews is a Senior Consultant with Asurity Advisors. Alison is an experienced compliance professional with over six (6) years in general compliance and regulatory affairs in the financial services industry. She has worked in both advisory roles and in the industry, working closely with leadership, first-line, and second-line to ensure successful adherence to compliance, regulatory, and risk solution strategies.

In addition to her broad compliance knowledge, Alison has particular experience in the fair lending space. In her previous role, Alison worked closely with leading fintech firms in the industry to ensure their fair lending programs met regulatory standards. She conducted fair lending analytics on all products to ensure disparate impact had not occurred and assisted in mitigating fair and responsible banking risks while under significant regulatory oversight. Her experience in fair lending analytics includes, but is not limited to, redlining, non-regression and regression analyses to identify denial disparities, differences in mean APR, lending disparities, and any disparate impact on protected classes utilizing HMDA data and less standardized data tapes. Alison has also completed matched pair analyses and comparative file reviews on both commercial and consumer loans to further identify disparate impact after initial analyses have been completed.

Alison worked closely with regulators at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and bank leadership to resolve requirements under a fair lending consent order. The consent order included many data requirements for both the bank and their non-bank partners. In this role, Alison worked with third-party consultants to collect documentation and data for multiple years for over 30 consumer-lending products.

In previous compliance roles, Alison was a trusted leader for project management, risk assessments, and transaction testing for many of the “alphabet” regulations during compliance management system (CMS) reviews.

Alison holds a BA in both Public Policy and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
