Deborah is a seasoned financial services professional with executive experience in all facets of residential mortgage banking. Deborah has over 38 years of broad industry regulatory and operational experience with originations and quality control, secondary marketing, investor reporting, servicing, and loss mitigation. Deborah leads large and small projects related to regulatory and internal compliance, regulatory enforcement actions, lookbacks and operational assessments.
Most recently, Deborah was a Managing Director with a global advisory firm and a leader in the regulatory, mortgage and operations practice where she established a wholly owned NMLS licensed subsidiary that provides staff augmentation to mortgage originators and servicers. Deborah also led several large regulatory enforcement lookbacks, developing strategy and delivering results and recommendations for improvement to her clients. While at the advisory firm, Deborah also provided litigation support services, including large scale rebuttal review and deposition/trial testimony in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York as an expert on underwriting practices for loans in Residential Mortgage Backed Securities.
Prior to joining the global advisory firm, Deborah established a boutique consulting firm, Bladestone Financial LLC, to provide services domestically and in Latin America. Bladestone focused on origination and servicing operational assessments, residential mortgage lookback execution across the origination and servicing lifecycle with specialization in origination reviews, post close QC, regulatory and investor requirements and loss mitigation.
Deborah also held senior positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, buying and selling whole loans and at Wells Fargo Bank, as the manager of the secondary marketing department where she determined daily lending rates and negotiated contracts for the sale and compliant delivery of conventional and jumbo mortgage loans.
Deborah holds a BA from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin and a MBA from the University of San Diego.
